Payton Pritchard’s journey to the award

Payton Pritchard’s journey to this award was marked by early-season challenges. He sought a trade due to limited playing time but remained with Boston after a four-year contract. His dedication has paid its dividend as he won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award.
Payton Pritchard also became the fifth Boston Celtics player to win the prestigious award, joining an elite group of players. He shared his excitement on winning as he said, “I feel like every year, you get a little bit better. So I hope that… I’ve gotten better than I was last year,” before receiving the award.
He also acknowledged the fact that he still needs improvement in some areas and said, “I feel like that’s probably another area of growth I’ve had, too. The Boston Celtics also celebrated Payton Pritchard’s achievement and took to their social media account and wrote, “NO DOUBT ABOUT IT ☘️ Congrats, Payton Pritchard”
