“It’s Dangerous” Luka Doncic Lashes Out After A Winning Game

Luka Doncic showed why he is one of the best players in the NBA yet again with a stunning performance that helped the Lakers secure their fifth straight win in the NBA Cup. Doncic dominated the game against the Los Angeles Clippers, scoring 43 points, along with 13 assists and 9 rebounds. This extraordinary display marked the 39th time he achieved a 40-point double-double, tying him with the legendary Michael Jordan, an incredible milestone in his career.

Luka Doncic Not Happy With The NBA

Despite the win and his impressive stats, Luka Doncic was not happy after the game. He criticised the special NBA Cup courts being used in the tournament, saying they were too slippery and dangerous. Speaking to reporters, Doncic urged the league to adjust the courts, emphasising that he and other players had slipped many times during the game. He made it clear that such conditions pose a risk to players’ safety, which should be addressed urgently.

“Adjust the courts, please. It’s just slippery, it’s dangerous. I slipped a lot of times, you could see a lot of players slipped, and that’s dangerous,” Luka Doncic pleaded to the NBA.

Unique Courts For NBA Cup

The NBA Cup courts are unique compared to the regular-season courts. These courts have colourful designs reflecting team colours and the NBA Cup logo prominently placed at midcourt and in the lane. Basketball artist Victor Solomon designed these courts to bring a fresh look to the tournament during the Group Play and Quarterfinals stages. While fans appreciate the vibrant designs, players like Doncic see a safety issue emerging from the slippery surfaces.

Luka Doncic’s all-around performance was key to the Lakers’ 135-118 win over the Clippers, solidifying their top spot in the NBA Cup West Group B.
